The World Market was established by RPCVSF in 2005 and has evolved as an outlet for fair trade articles from the developing world. By selling fair trade items at RPCVSF and public events in the South Florida area, The World Market helps to educate RPCVs and the local community regarding the values of Fair Trade.
Profits from The World Market have supported WINGS, a women’s health initiative in Guatemala, The Colombia Project, and Redlands Christian Migrants Association’s Reading is Fundamental Program. In 2010 The World Market raised $1500 for HELP, a program that provides scholarships for economically disadvantaged scholars in Haiti.
