Annual Everglades Outing, Saturday, January 28, 9am – 2pm
We need your help to make 2012 start great for a group of kids and young adults!
Will you join us at the annual RPCVSF Everglades Outing to share your love and knowledge of the Everglades with a group of at-risk children and teens who have not had the opportunity to spend an afternoon among one of nature’s most splendid creations? It truly makes a difference in their lives and you will feel great about it. If you would like to volunteer as a naturalist please contact Kiki Mutis for more details (kikimutis@gmail.com). It truly helps to have you there.
If you’re not a naturalist we still need your help to set up, serve lunch, clean up, and assist the guides. You get to spend a beautiful day in the park, and you can earn community service hours. If you’d like to help contact Emily at emilyeisenhauer@yahoo.com.
Meet at the Ernest F. Coe Everglades National Park visitor’s center in Homestead at 8:45am where we will greet the children. We will then lead small groups through the Royal Palm board walk and Long Pine Key habitats. For directions to the park follow this link http://www.nps.gov/ever/planyourvisit/coedirections.htm
